Crysis Remastered is a first-person shooter video game. Crysis Remastered occurs in 2020 when North Korean forces seize control of the Lingshan Islands after American archaeologists make a discovery. At the start of the game, Raptor Team has received a distress call from a group of archaeologists that appear to have been taken hostage by North Korea. As the storyline unfolds, however, it becomes clear that things are not what they seem. Crysis Remastered is a smaller package than many fans anticipated, or were at least hoping for. If you enjoyed the original’s multiplayer or became a fan of the series with its later entries, this remaster may not do much for you unless you want to see the series roots. The plot is nothing special and is often setback by corny and bland cut scenes, truly dated character models and lip-syncing issues, but the game does a good job shuffling players from area to area and highlighting what the game is best at, gunplay.
